Uttarakhand / Dehradun: All vehicles will be banned in the markets after 12 pm on Dhanteras, police will be active, Doon SSP gave instructions
On Dhanteras, all the street vendors, carts and small and big goods carrying vehicles will be banned in the city area after 12 noon. In view of Dhanteras and Diwali, the SSP held a meeting with all the officers through video conferencing and issued instructions. The SSP has asked all the police station in-charges to prepare a traffic plan according to the situation in their respective police station areas. The present officers have been instructed to appoint fire tenders at sensitive places from the point of view of fire safety.
In view of the festive season, the SSP held a meeting with all the COs and police station in-charges of the district through video conference. During the meeting, the SSP directed to ban all types of phad-theli and small and big goods carrying vehicles in the city area after 12 noon on Dhanteras in view of the traffic pressure on the main roads and the crowd in the main markets during the upcoming Dhanteras and Diwali festival. In this regard, all the police station in-charges were instructed to prepare an effective action plan during the festivals by talking to the representatives of the Vyapar Mandal in their respective areas.
The SSP instructed all the police station in-charges to make a traffic plan in advance by assessing the traffic pressure during the festival in their respective police station areas. SSP Ajay Singh said that all the police station in-charges will have to make a plan keeping in view the security arrangements in the main markets in their respective police station areas. Crowded areas will have to be monitored. Along with identifying sensitive places, instructions have also been given to appoint fire tenders.
