4 Iranian soldiers killed in Israeli air strike, nuclear site safe, US gives warning
Israel carried out an air strike on Iran on Saturday morning. The air strike was carried out using 100 aircraft. After this attack, the US is now on alert and is warning Iran not to retaliate. US President Joe Biden broke his silence on Saturday. He said that it seems that Israel has specifically targeted military targets in its retaliatory strike against Iran. He said, ‘It seems that they have not attacked anything other than military targets.’
US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin has warned Iran against responding to Israeli attacks on military sites in Iran. He said that Iran should not make the mistake of responding to Israeli attacks, which should signal the end of attacks on each other. The biggest concern about the Israeli attack was that the attack should not be on nuclear sites. The US has also been pressuring Israel not to do so.
Nuclear site was not attacked
The Chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) informed on X that the nuclear facility was not damaged in Israel’s air strike. Rafael Mariano Grossi wrote, ‘There has been no impact on Iran’s nuclear facility. IAEA inspectors are safe and are continuing their important work. I call for restraint in taking steps that could endanger the safety of nuclear or other radioactive materials.’
Iranian President warns
Iran said on Saturday that the death toll in the air strikes carried out by Israel has risen to four. Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported in its news that the four deceased were working in the country’s air defense installations. However, it did not say in which part of the country they were posted. Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his condolences to the four people killed in a post. The President warned about future attacks.
He said, ‘Iran’s enemies should know that these brave people stand fearlessly in defense of their land. We will respond to any stupidity with intelligence.’
