Uttarakhand: Congress Coordination Committee meeting held in Dehradun, strategy made for publicity and nomination in Kedarnath by-election and civic elections

A meeting of the Congress Coordination Committee was held today at the Congress State Headquarters under the chairmanship of State President Karan Mahara. Party co-incharge Surendra Sharma, CLP leader Yashpal Arya, the four observers appointed for the Kedarnath by-election, MLA Mamta Rakesh Vikram Singh Negi were present in the meeting.

All the members of the coordination committee gave important suggestions in the meeting keeping in mind the Kedarnath by-election and the civic elections. On this occasion, the party’s state president Karan Mahara said that the Congress is going to contest the Kedarnath by-election with full unity. All the big leaders of the Congress will be put on duty in the by-election. He said that the Congress will become the voice of the people by raising local issues as well as the basic problems of the state in the Kedarnath election.

Karan Mahara said that for the Kedarnath by-election, the Congress has appointed in-charges from booths to divisions, blocks and city Congress committees. He said that the strategy for the Kedarnath by-election was discussed in detail in the meeting.

Former cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat said that two important issues were discussed in the meeting. Kedarnath election is an important election for the Congress. After the party’s victory in Badrinath and Mangalore assembly elections, a complete action plan has been made today on how to win the Kedarnath by-election. There has also been a detailed discussion about public meetings, election campaign and nomination in Kedarnath. Harak Singh Rawat said that the Congress is going to prominently raise the issues of disaster, women and youth among the public in the elections. Along with this, discussions have also been held on appointing coordinators in the districts for the upcoming municipal bodies and panchayat elections.
