Uttarakhand: Congress delegation met CM, demanded to conduct student union elections in universities

Regarding the four burning issues of the state of Uttarakhand, the State Congress Committee met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and raised other issues including the communal harmony being constantly spoiled. Dhasmana demanded a solution to the issues related to student union elections, UPNL employees and non-government colleges. Dhasmana told the Chief Minister that he is the CM of the entire state and it is his responsibility to protect every citizen living in the state, irrespective of religion or caste, but for the past few months, some mischievous elements in different parts of the state are engaged in spoiling the communal harmony of the state. Referring to the cases of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Srinagar, Dehradun, Dhasmana urged the CM to direct the state administration and police to take strict action against such elements. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami heard the issues raised by the Congress and assured that no one in the state will be allowed to take the law into their own hands. The Chief Minister also expressed a positive attitude on the issue of student union elections and Upanal employees and assured to take appropriate action after examining the memorandum submitted in the matters of higher education.
