Uttarakhand: Employment with adventure games, water sports will strengthen the economy in Vyasghat

To stop migration in the district and increase the employment dimension, the administration has started adventure sports like angling, rafting, kayaking, trekking and cycling. With the help of these sports, efforts are being made to make the people here financially strong.

Adventure sports like angling, rafting, kayaking, trekking and cycling were organized under Nayar Utsav 2024 being organized in the district by the District Administration Pauri. In which people from different areas of Uttarakhand came to participate. Where on the one hand 8 km rafting and kayaking was organized from Umrasu to Vyas Ghat. Mountain cycling was also organized from Bilkhet.

District Tourism Officer Khushal Singh said, ‘During the organized games, 12 kayaking and 8 rafting teams participated in this competition for a distance of 8 km. There is immense potential for rafting here. In view of which efforts have been made by the district administration. This will also provide employment to the people of the area.

The District Tourism Officer said that angling is organized here for the development of this area. This time activities like rafting and kayaking have also been started. With such a start, the people of the area will get employment opportunities. Slowly the number of tourists will also increase. Due to which this area will get a new identity. ‘

Rishabh Mehra, who came from Lansdowne, said that there are immense possibilities for angling here. Due to the presence of Mahseer fish in this entire area, anglers get a lot of opportunities. Events related to angling have been organized here earlier as well. He himself is from a hilly area, so the way efforts are being made for the development of this area, there is every possibility in the future that the number of tourists will increase here. Local people will get economic strength.
