Uttarakhand / Haldwani: Big action in view of the festive season, Food Department conducted raids

In view of the Diwali festival, the Food Safety Department is conducting raids. Meanwhile, a major action of the department was seen on Saturday. During checking in Haldwani on Saturday, the Food Safety Department team suddenly caught a pickup loaded with namkeen and soya.

When the Food Department team inspected the namkeen and soya during the raid, neither the net weight nor any manufacturing date was found written on it. Not only this, the name of the manufacturing company and the expiry date were also not found written. Therefore, the Food Department has sealed the entire pickup.

80 food samples taken and sent for testing

District Food Safety Officer Sanjay Kumar Singh said that raids are being conducted continuously. So far 412 cases are going on in the ADM court. Apart from this, in view of the festival, 80 food samples have been taken and sent for testing. Apart from this, samples of ghee and cheese have also failed. In which action is being taken against all five under the Criminal Act.
