Uttarakhand: Proposals are being sent to the cabinet meeting without scrutiny, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi expressed objection
Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has objected to sending the proposals of departmental schemes directly to the cabinet meeting without conducting a ground test. She directed the departmental secretaries to submit the proposals for the cabinet meeting only after conducting a ground test and assessment.
Not doing so creates difficulty in achieving the actual objective of the schemes. In this regard, the Chief Secretary has written a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries, all departmental secretaries. In the letter, she asked to prepare proposals after testing and comparing the departmental schemes and programs.
She also directed to study the current schemes and merge similar schemes. She said that in the absence of this, there is a possibility of discrepancy between the financial proposals of two departments. She directed that the procedures for approval of schemes should be simplified so that there is no unnecessary delay.
