Uttarakhand: Traffic will be diverted in Haldwani today, take a look at the traffic plan

Due to increased traffic pressure during weekends, people have to face traffic jams in Haldwani city. To avoid people getting stuck in traffic jams for hours, traffic will be diverted in Haldwani on Sunday. Police has issued a traffic plan for heavy vehicles going from Haldwani city to the hilly area and coming from the hilly area to Haldwani city.
Entry of heavy vehicles will be prohibited
- During the weekend, entry of heavy vehicles in the Yatra route will be prohibited from 12 noon to 10 am on Sunday.
- Heavy vehicles carrying essential services (such as vegetables, fruits, fuel, gas, milk) should complete their services by 4 pm. Movement of essential service vehicles will also be prohibited on the Yatra route from 4 pm to 10 pm.
- Exit of heavy vehicles going from Sabzi Mandi to the hilly area will be completely closed from Mandi Gate from 4 pm to 10 pm.
Routes will be diverted here
- All heavy vehicles going to the hilly area from Kaladhungi Road will be stopped on the left side of the road going towards Fatehpur, Katgharia from Lamachaur Tiraha. Heavy vehicles going to the hilly area from the city area will be stopped on the left side of the road between Unchapul Tiraha to Chauphala Chauraha and Chambal Pul Tiraha.
- All heavy vehicles going to the hilly area from Bareilly Road, Rampur Road will be stopped on the left side of the road near Teenpani in Bareilly Road and on the left side of the road near Belbaba in Rampur Road.
- All heavy vehicles going to the hilly area from Cholgalia Road will be stopped on the left side of the road between Kunwarpur Tiraha and Kheda Chauraha.
- All heavy vehicles coming from Almora, Bageshwar towards Haldwani city will be stopped between Bhawali to Masjid Tiraha via Number 1 Band Jyolikot till 10 o’clock.
- All heavy vehicles coming from Mukteshwar Road towards Haldwani city will be stopped from Mukteshwar via Ramgarh Road via Bhawali to Masjid Tiraha between Number 1 Band Jyolikot till 10 o’clock.
- Heavy vehicles coming from Bhimtal towards Haldwani city will be stopped at Saldi Chowki, Amritpur from 12 noon to 10 o’clock.
Heavy vehicles (essential service) coming from the hilly area towards Haldwani will also be stopped at the above mentioned places from 4 o’clock to 10 o’clock.
