Uttarakhand: Four candidates including BJP-Congress filed nomination in Kedarnath by-election, CM was present in Asha’s nomination

Four nomination papers were filed on the first day of nomination for Kedarnath assembly seat by-election. Uttarakhand Kranti Dal’s Dr. Ashutosh Bhandari, BJP’s Asha Nautiyal, Congress’ Manoj Rawat and independent Tribhuvan Singh Chauhan filed nomination papers. Police force was present in the tehsil premises to submit nomination papers in Ukhimath market since Monday morning. Zero zone was declared for security and traffic.

UKD candidate’s nomination

On Monday, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal candidate Dr. Ashutosh Bhandari reached to file nomination first by taking out a procession in the market with traditional musical instrument Dhol Damo. After nomination, he said that he is committed to make necessary amendments in Uttarakhand state’s Domicile 1950, Land Act, Gairsain as capital and UCC draft by the government and will go among the public with these issues. Many workers including UKD president Puran Singh Kathait were present with him during the nomination.

Nomination of BJP candidate

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Garhwal MP Anil Baluni, former Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Kuldeep Rawat along with many workers and officials reached the nomination of BJP candidate Asha Nautiyal. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami said that development plans worth billions have been announced in Kedarnath assembly constituency and their work has also started. Will go among the public on the issue of development. He said that the opposition is making baseless allegations and baking its political bread. The public understands everything and the intentions of the Congress will not be fulfilled. He claimed that the BJP candidate will get this seat with a one-sided huge number of votes.

Nomination of Congress candidate

State President Karan Mahara, former President Ganesh Godiyal, District President Kunwar Sajwan, Chief Pradeep Thapliyal reached the nomination of Congress candidate Manoj Rawat. After filing nomination, Manoj Rawat said that BJP has committed the sin of diverting Kedarnath Yatra and harassing local small traders in the name of Yatra, destroying their livelihood and the public will teach them a lesson in this election.

Nomination of independent candidate Chauhan

Independent candidate Tribhuvan Singh Chauhan reached the tehsil premises with his entourage and filed his nomination papers. When Chauhan reached to file his nomination in traditional dhoti kurta attire, he became the center of attraction for everyone. He said that Kedar valley is facing many tragedies and employment crisis. He is contesting this election as a representative of the public.
