Uttarakhand / Udham Singh Nagar: On Dhanteras and Diwali, leave the house after seeing the traffic plan, otherwise you may have to face trouble
In view of Dhanteras and Diwali festival, the police has prepared a traffic plan. So that people can get relief from traffic jams. Apart from this, heavy police force has been deployed at every nook and corner. Entry of heavy vehicles has been stopped in the city from 29 October i.e. today morning till 11 pm on Diwali. Along with this, a separate road map has been prepared for two-wheelers and four-wheelers coming to the market. So that people do not have to face traffic jams on the day of the festival.
To save the city from traffic jams during the festival, the police has implemented a traffic plan from Dhanteras to Diwali. Apart from this, police force has been deployed at various places so that people do not face any kind of problem. A traffic plan has been made for all types of vehicles, big and small. Which will be applicable from 29 October i.e. today morning till 11 pm on Diwali.
No entry zone in the city
- Entry of heavy vehicles in the city area will be completely banned from the following places from 07 am to 11 pm
- Indra Chowk 2, Sidkul Chowk 3, Teenpani Tiraha 4, Gaba Chowk
- Two-wheelers/four-wheelers will be stopped by putting up barriers at Via Chowk/Agrasen Chowk/Galla Mand/Gud Mandi (Vidhwani Market) and entry will be completely banned
- Two-wheelers/four-wheelers will be stopped by putting up duty on all the routes leading to the market and no vehicle of any kind will be allowed to enter the market area
- If required, entry of tempos will be completely banned from Indra Chowk to DD Chowk and DD Chowk to Maharaja Agrasen Chowk
Traffic system of the main market
No carts/stalls/vehicles etc. will be set up outside the white line in the market area. All types of carts/stalls etc. will be set up inside the white line between Maharaja Agrasen Chowk and Bata Chowk.
Parking arrangement
- All vehicles going to the main market for shopping will be parked in Gandhi Park and encroachment free area.
- Vehicles coming from Indra Chowk will be parked in the temporary parking of New Traffic Police Line/ Irrigation Department.
- Vehicles coming from Kichha bypass will be parked in the parking near Modi Maidan Lake.
- Vehicles coming from Dineshpur/ Pantnagar will be parked on both sides of the road from Vishal Mega Mart/ Futela Hospital to Ataria turn.
- Vehicles coming from Gaba Chowk and Bhura Rani will be parked near City Club/ Galla Mandi.
- No vehicle will be parked on the main road National Highway and no goods/ carts will be put up.
- Apart from this, vehicles of traders will be parked in Galla Mandi.
Barrier arrangement
- Barrier arrangement will be in place at the following places to restrict the entry of two-wheelers/ four-wheelers in the market area
- Bata Chowk, Agrasen Chowk, Gud Mandi/ Vidhwani Market, Galla Mandi (near Aara Machine), in the lanes leading to the market in Kashipur bypass road, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Panch Mandir Road, Gurudwara Barriers will be installed near the pass
Diversion of heavy vehicles
Vehicles coming from Rampur, which have to go towards Sidkul / Haldwani, will go to their destination from Indra Chowk via Dineshpur Mode Gadarpur to Dineshpur Mode Rudrapur
Vehicles coming from Haldwani, which have to go towards Rampur / Kashipur, will go to their destination from Dineshpur Mode Rudrapur via Dineshpur-Dineshpur Mode Gadarpur
Vehicles coming from Gadarpur, which have to go towards Haldwani / Pantnagar, will go to their destination from Dineshpur Mode Gadarpur to Dineshpur Mode Rudrapur. Apart from this, emergency vehicles will continue to move as before.
