The CM said that today people across the country are celebrating Diwali safely, it is only because of our brave soldiers who are deployed day and night to protect Mother India on the borders. Seeing the enthusiasm of all of you, new energy is also flowing inside me. The CM said that this time Diwali is very special because for 500 years we were waiting for Lord Rama to come to his home and that house should shine again.

The Chief Minister said that after many years, this is the first occasion on Diwali when Lord Ram is seated in his palace. Whether we talk about the First World War or the Second World War or talk about the contribution of the Indian Army in all the battles fought after the independence of the country, Garhwal Rifles have a big contribution in it. The CM said that a provision has been made to increase the amount of Rs 10 lakh given to the families of the soldiers who sacrifice their lives within our state to Rs 50 lakh.
