Arvind Sawant said on Shaina NC- ‘Imported goods do not work’, what did the angry Shiv Sena candidate say?

The verbal war continues in the Maharashtra assembly elections. Meanwhile, a ruckus has erupted over the statement of Uddhav Thackeray faction leader and Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant. Talking to news agency ANI, he targeted Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC and said, look at her condition, she was in BJP all her life. Now she has gone to another party. Imported goods do not work here, only original goods work here.
Shiv Sena candidate from Mumba Devi seat Shaina NC hit back at his statement and demanded an apology. She said, “He cannot respect a woman. A professional woman, who is capable, who comes into politics. You use such words.”
I will complain to the Election Commission – Shaina NC
Shaina said, “I worked for you in 2014 and 2019 under the leadership of PM Modi. Now you will be in trouble because you called a woman a maal. The public will make them miserable because they used such words. Their ideology is clear.”
She told ABP News, ”You will have to apologize. This is Mahavinash Aghadi. When Arvind Sawant was speaking, Congress MLA Amin Patel was laughing. I am going to the police station. I will complain to Mumbai Police and will also complain to the Election Commission. You will have to apologize.”
What did BJP say?
On Arvind Sawant’s statement, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said that women should be respected. Such comments are condemnable. Women should be respected in politics.
In fact, Shaina NC left BJP on October 28 and joined Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. Shinde has made her a candidate from Mumba Devi. Interestingly, both Shiv Sena and BJP are part of the Mahayuti alliance.
There is a contest with Congress
Shaina NC is contesting against Congress candidate Amin Patel on the Mumba Devi seat. Arvind Sawant of Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray faction was also present during her nomination meeting. During this time Sawant made the comment. There is a controversy over this.
It was being claimed that Shaina NC will contest from Worli, but Shiv Sena has given ticket to Rajya Sabha MP Milind Deora from Worli. He is contesting against Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray on this seat.
