Double murder on Diwali in Delhi, indiscriminate firing done after entering the house

An uncle and his minor nephew were shot dead on Thursday evening in the Farsh Bazar area of Shahdara district of Delhi. The deceased have been identified as Akash (40) and Rishabh (16), residents of Bihari Colony. Akash’s son Krish has been injured in the firing.
Initial investigation of the Shahdara double murder case has revealed a case of personal rivalry. A minor has been detained on the basis of CCTV footage, interrogation is going on.
The police officer said that at around 8.30 pm, Akash was present outside the house after performing puja with his son and nephew. Meanwhile, two miscreants reached there and opened fire. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.
It is visible in the CCTV that one of the two miscreants who came on a scooty first touched Akash’s feet. When he started going inside the house, the other miscreant started firing at him. After firing, the miscreants started running away. Meanwhile, Akash’s nephew Rishabh, who was standing at the spot, chased the miscreants, then the miscreants also opened fire on him.
Meanwhile, Akash’s son Krish also arrived. The miscreants fired at him as well. The miscreants fired five rounds. The neighbours and family members immediately took the injured to the nearby hospital. Where the doctors declared Akash and Rishabh dead. While Krish is undergoing treatment.
Police officials say that in the initial investigation, mutual enmity has come to the fore. The family members have accused a youth named Lakshya of firing. The police is investigating the matter by interrogating the family members. Also, the attackers are being identified by investigating the CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding area.
DCP Shahdara Prashant Gautam said that “At around 8.30 pm we received a PCR call informing that there was firing in Bihari Colony and some people were injured. On reaching the spot, it was found that Akash (40), his nephew Rishabh (16) and his son Krish (10) were shot. Akash and Rishabh have died. Prima facie investigation has revealed that 5 rounds of bullets were fired.
Yogesh, brother of deceased Akash and father of Rishabh, said that “The incident happened yesterday around 7.30-8.00 pm. Two people had come, my brother and son were killed by a person riding a two-wheeler. Some time ago my brother had a dispute with someone over money.
Eyewitnesses told the police that the attackers touched Akash Sharma’s feet before shooting him. After this, they started firing bullets. The three people injured by the bullets were taken to the hospital. The officer said that Akash Sharma and Rishabh Sharma were declared dead by doctors at the hospital, while Krish Sharma is undergoing treatment. Police said that prima facie it appears to be a case of personal enmity. He said that statements of the victim’s family members will be recorded and further investigation is underway.
