Terrorist attack in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir, two people from UP shot
Another terrorist attack on non-local laborers took place in the Kashmir Valley on Friday evening. Now two outside laborers working on the Jal Jeevan project in Mazhama of Magam in Budgam district of central Kashmir were shot. Both have been admitted to the hospital in an injured state. The condition of both is said to be stable.
A police officer said that two non-local laborers were working on the construction of a tank in the Mazhama cemetery on the banks of Sukhnag drain. During this, the terrorists shot them. One laborer has been shot in the hand and the other in the leg. The injured have been identified as Sufiyan and Mohammad Usman of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area. A large-scale search operation has been started around the incident site. The attackers are being searched. Both the injured are out of danger. It is being told that both the injured have been referred from SDH Magam to SKIMS Bemina.
Fifth terrorist attack in 16 days
- On October 17, terrorists killed Bihar laborer Ashok Chauhan in Shopian district
- On October 20, seven people including a local doctor posted in a tunnel building company in Gagangir of Ganderbal were killed.
- On October 24, Shubham Kumar of UP was shot in Batagund of Tral. He was injured in the attack.
- On October 24 itself, two army soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack in Gulmarg of Baramulla. Two porters were also killed.
- On November 01, two laborers from Uttar Pradesh were shot in Budgam. Both are in stable condition.
Two groups of terrorists are active in Doda district: SSP
At present, two terrorist groups are active in Doda district of Chenab Valley. This information was given by the SSP of the district Mohammad Aslam. The SSP said on Thursday, there is no evidence of local terrorists being involved in any activity in the district. Even the local citizens have refused to support the terrorists. Search operation is going on in the area. Security forces are alert and ready to deal with any challenge. The police officer said, however, we cannot say that local terrorists are completely unavailable. There are no local terrorists.
Seven workers had lost their lives earlier
Earlier on October 20, terrorists had attacked migrant workers working in a company constructing Z-Morh tunnel in Gagangir area near Sonamarg in Ganderbal. In which seven people were killed. The Resistance Front (TRF), an affiliate of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, had taken responsibility for the attack.
Protest march was taken out on the killing of Bihar laborer in Shopian
It is known that on October 18, terrorists shot dead a Bihar laborer in Shopian. His bullet-riddled body was found lying on the roadside. In protest against this incident, civil society and college students had appealed for peace by taking out a protest march the next day on October 19. Leaders of all political parties including Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had condemned the incident. The next day the terrorists carried out such a big incident.
Large scale outside labourers in Kashmir
Let us tell you that migrant labourers work in all the big projects running in different districts of Kashmir. Labourers from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab work in apple orchards and its packing in Kashmir. They work in various projects of construction companies. Even there is a large number of them among the local fruit and vegetable sellers in Kashmir. These labourers are also employed in railway projects.
