The doors of the world famous Gangotri Dham will be closed for the winter today on the festival of Annakoot. After the doors are closed, devotees will be able to have darshan of Maa Ganga at the Ganga temple located at her maternal home Mukhaba.

The doors of Gangotri Dham will be closed for the winter today at 12:14 pm on the Annakoot festival for the darshan of devotees. The process of closing the doors of Gangotri Dham of Mother Bhagwati Ganga was started with Deepotsav on Friday. After the closure of the doors of Mother Ganga, her festival idol will be brought to the winter stop Mukhaba with Doli Yatra.
More than eight lakh devotees reached Gangotri Dham
Let us tell you that the doors of Gangotri Dham were opened on 10 May 2024 on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Since then more than eight lakh devotees have visited Mother Ganga. After Gangotri Dham, the doors of Kedarnath Dham and Yamunotri Dham will be closed as per tradition on Bhaiya Dooj on November 3. Whereas the doors of Badrinath Dham will be closed on November 17.
