Israel: Netanyahu on enemy’s target, explosion heard near his house, security agencies engaged in investigation

Netanyahu’s house has been targeted for the second time in a month. Palestinian news agency Sama quoted sources as saying that the sound of an explosion was heard near Netanyahu’s house late Monday night. According to reports, the cause of the explosion is not yet known and the matter is being investigated.

This explosion has happened after the confirmation of Israeli media, which said that 90 rockets have been fired from Lebanon targeting Israeli settlements and military facilities since Monday morning. Last month also Hezbollah attacked Netanyahu’s private house in northern Israel.

Second time Netanyahu’s security lapse

On October 19, Israeli media had said that Netanyahu’s house was targeted by three drones. Some part of Netanyahu’s house has also been damaged in this attack. Netanyahu and his wife were not at home at that time and no one was injured in the attack.

On October 22, Hezbollah media office chief Mohammad Afif took responsibility for the attack and said that we had targeted Netanyahu’s house with three drones, one of which hit the house.

Air defense is failing

The accuracy of Hezbollah’s attacks has been increasing since last month. According to some experts, now about 20 to 30 percent of Hezbollah’s attacks are hitting the target. Whereas earlier this figure was less than 5 percent. Hezbollah has also dropped leaflets on the city of Haifa and ordered the people there to be displaced. After this step, some people believe that Hezbollah is also fighting a psychological war with Israel. At the same time, to further strengthen Israel’s air defense, America has deployed its most powerful air defense THAAD in the Middle East.
