Uttarakhand: CM Dhami released the book A history of Hinduism written by Major General G.D. Bakshi (Retd.)
On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the people who died in the Almora bus accident and expressed his condolences to their families. The Chief Minister said that this book by Major General G.D. Bakshi (Retd.) will definitely prove beneficial for the readers. G.D. Bakshi, along with being a military officer, is also a great nationalist and a scholar and thinker of various subjects. Along with being an expert in strategic matters, he achieved many distinctions in the army.
The Chief Minister said that the book A History of Hinduism is an excellent effort to present history, civilization and cultural heritage from a new perspective. In this book, the cultural traditions of our great religion, the expression of the soul and the heritage have been mentioned comprehensively and inclusively. The book tells how our civilization has worked to give direction to the entire world through knowledge, science, philosophy and modernity. The book has mentioned traditions like the art of war, Vedic philosophy, yoga and has worked to introduce the young generation to them. He said that Sanatan culture is the oldest culture in the world. There are many aspects in our religion that make us different and the best.
The Chief Minister said that our sages composed such great texts which are relevant due to our depth, comprehensiveness and scientific nature. Indian military revival has also been mentioned in this book. The book also mentions the anti-national forces that worked to divide our society after independence. The Chief Minister said that today India has a strong government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many historic decisions have been taken in the Modi government. India’s respect and self-respect has increased in the world. Today the whole world waits for India’s stand on every major issue.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the work of enhancing the religious and cultural heritage is being done in the country. The result of this is that Ram temple has been built in Ayodhya. Triple Talaq has ended inside the country. Many decisions have been taken like the decision of surgical strike on the enemy country, removal of Article 370 from Kashmir and implementation of CAA. The Chief Minister said that the UCC bill has been passed in the state and it is going to be implemented very soon. Recently, the cabinet has also decided to establish a Hindu Studies Centre in Doon University. The Chief Minister urged the youth to contribute in making Uttarakhand drug-free by keeping them away from drugs. He said that for this, other people also need to be made aware.
