The terror of tiger is being seen in Ramnagar. On Tuesday morning, a woman who went to the forest in Dhikuli area to collect grass and wood for the animals was killed by a tiger. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village since the incident.
Tiger kills woman who went to the forest
The incident is from the Sarpduli range of Corbett National Park. It is being told that Kaushalya Devi (50) had gone to the forest located at a short distance from the house with some other women of the village to collect wood and grass. Meanwhile, the tiger lying in wait attacked Kaushalya Devi fatally.
The tiger dragged the woman towards the forest
Hearing the screams of the woman, other women showed courage and struggled to free Kaushalya Devi who was stuck in the jaws of the tiger. But the tiger dragged the woman towards the forest. The women present in the forest came to the village and informed the villagers about this.
The body of the woman was found in a bloody condition
On getting the information, the villagers and forest department officials went towards the forest in search of the woman. After about an hour of search, the body of the woman was found in a blood-soaked condition. Since the incident, the family members of the woman are crying inconsolably. Along with this, people are also scared to come out of their homes.
Officials appealed to people not to go to the forest
Corbett Tiger Reserve Deputy Director Rahul Mishra says that as soon as the cold arrives, the attacks of wild animals often increase. He has appealed to all the villagers not to go to the forest unnecessarily. Along with this, while giving information, he said that camera traps are being installed in the area to monitor the tiger. Forest personnel have been instructed to patrol.
An atmosphere of panic among the villagers
Corbett Tiger Reserve Deputy Director Rahul Mishra said that the higher officials have been informed about the incident. Action will be taken to catch the tiger after getting instructions from the higher officials. At the same time, the villagers have demanded the forest department officials to catch the tiger soon. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area since the incident.
