Like Kedarnath, changes are going to be made in the sanctum sanctorum of Omkareshwar temple too

The doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed for winter on November 3. After the closure of the doors, the silver Panchmukhi Divya Chal Vigraha Utsav Murti of Lord Kedarnath has reached the winter seat Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath after passing through various stages.

The Panchmukhi Murti will now be seated in the sanctum sanctorum of Omkareshwar Temple

Devotees will now be able to see the Panchmukhi Murti of Baba Kedar in Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath. Let us tell you that earlier the Panchmukhi Utsav Murti was kept in the store house on reaching Ukhimath. Due to this, the devotees reaching Omkareshwar Temple were not able to see the Panchmukhi Murti.

The pilgrim priests had requested BKTC

In this regard, the right holders and pilgrim priests had requested Ajendra Ajay, President of Badrinath- Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). The priests said that instead of keeping the Panchmukhi idol in the store room, it should be kept in the sanctum sanctorum of the Omkareshwar temple for darshan in winter, so that the devotees coming to Ukhimath can get the benefit of seeing the Panchmukhi idol.

BKTC approved the proposal

After deliberation on the request of the priests and the right holders, BKTC decided that the Panchmukhi idol of Lord Kedarnath will now be placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, where the Panchmukhi idol will be worshipped continuously. BKTC President Ajendra has given his approval to this proposal.
