While addressing the public in Amit Shah’s meeting, Mithun Chakraborty said, ‘A leader here says that we are 70 percent Muslims and 30 percent Hindus. We will cut them and throw them in Bhagirathi.’ Further, he said, ‘You will cut them and throw them in Bhagirathi but a day will come when we will cut you and throw you not in Bhagirathi but on your land. If you pluck one fruit from our tree, we will pluck 4 fruits from your tree.’

He further said in the meeting, ‘That is why I am repeatedly saying that we will do anything, anything. We need those workers who will come forward and fight. We need those workers who will say with pride that hit me, let me see how many bullets you have.’
