Uttarakhand: Forest department closed the way for Tungnath’s doli, anger among devotees

The forest department closed the main route of Lord Tungnath’s palanquin at Makku Band. Due to the obstruction in movement, Baba’s moving idol festival palanquin remained on the shoulders of devotees for five hours. Let us tell you that the forest department had built tents on the main route of Lord Tungnath’s palanquin.

The doors of the third Kedar Tungnath temple, the most prestigious among the Panch Kedars, were closed for the winter season on Monday. After which the festival palanquin of the Lord left for the winter seat Marketeshwar temple Makkumath. Eco huts were built by the forest department at Makku Band. Due to which the palanquin could not move beyond Makku Band.

Baba’s palanquin and devotees waited for five hours
The Lord’s palanquin and the devotees walking with the palanquin had to wait for about five hours. After hours, the forest department removed the huts and gave way to the palanquin. After which the palanquin left for its destination. Let us tell you that on November 7, Baba’s movable idol palanquin will be placed in its winter seat, Markateshwar temple, Makkumath.
