In Gadarpur police station area, a forest smuggler who fired on forest personnel got into an encounter with the police late on Wednesday night. In the encounter, the forest smuggler got shot in the leg. The injured smuggler has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

In an encounter that took place in Gadarpur police station area late on Wednesday night, the police arrested Sangat Singh alias Sangi, a notorious criminal who was involved in forest smuggling and firing on forest personnel. In the encounter, the criminal got shot in the leg. After which the accused has been admitted to the hospital.

When the SSP came to meet the accused in the hospital, the miscreant began to apologize to him with folded hands. But the SSP made it clear that there is no place for criminals in the district. The police have registered a case against the miscreant under various serious sections. These include cases like robbery, attempt to murder, theft, firing and attack on the police in self-defense.
