Wildlife smuggler caught by Uttarakhand STF, deer claws and musk recovered

Uttarakhand STF has succeeded in arresting a wildlife smuggler from Vikasnagar. 1 musk deer and 2 claws of the deer have been recovered from the possession of the smugglers. Musk and claws have been kept in the first schedule of the Wildlife Protection Act. Hunting it is a serious crime.

STF received information from WCCB Delhi

SP STF Chandra Mohan Singh said that after receiving information about wildlife smuggling from the WCCB Delhi team, STF arrested a wildlife smuggler from Vikasnagar area of ​​​​Dehradun district. He said that 1 musk deer (weighing 25.62 grams) and 2 deer claw skins (whose length is about 22 cm and 18 cm) have been recovered from the accused. At the same time, according to the information received during interrogation of the accused, STF is investigating this matter and if the involvement of any other person is found in this case, action will be taken against him and information is also being sought from the forest department.
