Uttarakhand: Action taken in the matter of blocking the path of Lord Tungnath’s palanquin, Deputy Forest Officer was associated
On Monday, the doors of the third Kedar Tungnath temple were closed for the winter season. But after this, when the movable idol palanquin of Lord Tungnath left for the winter seat Marketeshwar temple Makkumath, the palanquin had to wait for five hours due to the road being closed. Now action has been taken in this matter.
Action in the matter of blocking the path of Lord Tungnath’s palanquin
After the doors of the third Kedar Tungnath temple were closed, when the palanquin left for the winter seat Marketeshwar temple Makkumath, the palanquin had to wait for hours due to the construction of eco huts by the Forest Department at Makku Band. Due to the construction of eco huts, the palanquin of Lord Tungnath could not move beyond Makku Band. Action has been taken in this matter by the Forest Department and the Deputy Forest Officer has been associated.

It has come to light in the investigation that the Deputy Forest Officer was delayed in reaching the spot and an attempt was made to avoid solving the problem. Along with this, the Deputy Forest Officer failed to discharge his duties which is a violation of the Uttaranchal State Employee Conduct Rules 2002. Due to which, Deputy Forest Officer Kunwar Lal has been prima facie attached to the Divisional Office, Rudraprayag Forest Division, Rudraprayag for being grossly negligent towards the discharge of government duties and responsibilities.
