Uttarakhand: Services of 6 assistant teachers of Garhwal division terminated, notices issued to many, education department in action
12 teachers were absent from five districts of Garhwal division for a long time. Taking action on this, the education department has terminated the services of 6 assistant teachers. Notice has been issued to three for compulsory retirement. Action is underway against two. One teacher has now joined after being absent for five days.
Additional Director Secondary Education Garhwal Division Pauri SB Joshi has issued this order. He said that action has been taken against the teachers who are absent from the division for a long time, physically and mentally ill, and the report has been sent to the directorate. The education department has taken seriously the long absence of teachers serving in secondary schools. 12 teachers were absent from five districts of Garhwal division for a long time. These include 4 assistant teachers from Pauri Garhwal district, 3 each from Rudraprayag and Tehri and 1 each from Dehradun and Haridwar. Additional Director Secondary Education Garhwal Division Pauri SB Joshi said that along with issuing notices to teachers who were absent from schools for more than 1 year, public notices were also published in newspapers. Despite this, many teachers did not report for posting.
He said that the services of Assistant Teacher Anjali Pandey of RKUMAV Pokhra in Pauri district, Assistant Teacher Jaspal Singh Rana of GIC Kandali in Rudraprayag, Shobhit Bahuguna of Atal Utkrisht GIC Ukhimath, Veerpal Singh Chauhan of GIC Kothagi, Lakshmi Rani of GIC Katal in Tehri district, Assistant Teacher Nazakat Sultana of GGIC Kotikanasar in Dehradun district have been terminated with immediate effect. Assistant Teacher Shailendra Kumar of GIC Bahedakhal in Pauri district, Assistant Teacher Sarita Sharma of Atal Utkrisht GIC Haldukhata and Assistant Teacher Lakhiram of RVM Sarthedi in Haridwar district have been sent notice of compulsory retirement for being unwell for a long time.
