Uttarakhand: The operation of 77 buses of Transport Corporation on hilly routes got stuck in paperwork, CM had flagged off 130 buses

The operation of 77 buses of Transport Corporation on the mountainous route has got entangled in paper formalities. Out of the 130 roadways buses handed over to the corporation about 15 days ago, only 53 buses have started operating so far. The corporation officials are busy completing the paper formalities for the operation of the remaining buses. According to the corporation officials, it will take about one more week for all the buses to start operating.

130 buses were allotted by the corporation for about 8 depots in the mountainous areas of the state, but due to non-completion of paper formalities, those depots have not yet received the buses. It is worth noting that on October 27, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had flagged off these 130 buses running on mountainous routes at ISBT. Corporation officials say that 53 buses have been handed over to the depots of different mountainous areas by the corporation. Their operation has also started.

Among the remaining buses, 50 buses are such that GPS is to be installed in them as soon as the permit is issued. Whereas, the fleet of other 27 buses has not yet reached Dehradun from Goa. According to the officials, the main reason behind the delay in the operation of buses is the continuous holidays during the festive season. Due to the RTO office being closed during the festival, it is taking a lot of time to issue the permit of buses. Dialogue

Strict instructions for deployment of excellent category drivers in buses on mountain routes

Strict instructions have been given by the corporation headquarters regarding the deployment of excellent category drivers in buses on mountain routes. Despite this, some depots are putting drivers on duty in buses without complying with the prescribed standards. Earlier, a similar case had also come to light from the mountain depot of Dehradun. In such a situation, it can also become the reason for an accident.

Out of the 130 buses previously received by the corporation for operation on mountain routes, operation of 53 buses has started. Whereas, other buses will be started after completion of paper formalities. The corporation is working rapidly in this direction.
