Uttarakhand: Bobby Pawar again raised serious questions on the appointments made in the Energy Department and warned of going to court

Bobby Panwar, the state president of the Unemployed Association, has once again raised serious questions on the appointments made in the Energy Department. Bobby Panwar has made allegations regarding the appointments made in Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL) of the Energy Department. He said that in the year 2001 and 2003, appointments were made to the posts of JE and AE by ignoring the rules and favoured the favourites. He further said that junior engineers have now become assistant engineers and assistant engineers have now become executive engineers, many of them have become GMs and DGMs.

Similarly, in the year 2005, direct recruitment of executive engineers was done, whereas there is no provision for direct advertisement for the posts of executive engineers. Two people were appointed on those posts. Bobby Panwar said that under this advertisement, two assistant engineers were later promoted. However, on 29 August 2006, one of them resigned from his post, even after that, keeping the rules aside, someone else was appointed in his place. Today he is the head of the project. He says that when jobs are being given through this practice, then the unemployed also say that why are we not getting such jobs.

He has demanded the government to get this matter investigated by the CBI. If this is not done then the properties of those who got jobs illegally should be investigated. Bobby Panwar says that he had gone to the secretariat to talk to the Energy Secretary in this regard, but in the meantime there was a commotion regarding the extension of service of UPCL’s HD. Due to this, he is now bringing this issue in front of the public. He warned that if such illegal appointments continue to be made in the state, then he will take this matter to the court.
