Uttarakhand: Helipad and playground will be built at Tikra Top in Uttarkashi, CM Dhami announced in Damta
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Damta today. Where he participated in the Yamuna Valley Sports and Cultural Development Festival. During this, he announced to give a sum of five lakh rupees for organizing the function. Also, he talked about including the Danda Devrana Fair of Rudreshwar Maharaj, the deity of Panchsath village of Mugarsanti Patti, in the calendar of state fairs. Apart from this, he also announced the construction of a playground and helipad at Tikra Top. At the same time, he also talked about taking necessary steps to open a polytechnic institute in Damta area.
CM Dhami, who reached the Yamuna Valley Sports and Cultural Development Festival organized in Damta, was given a grand welcome in a traditional manner. He also participated in the traditional folk dance of Rawai-Jaunsar-Jaunpur region along with the villagers. Also congratulated the folk festival Igas Bagwal. He said that the people of this region have made an important effort to preserve their rich cultural heritage. Along with this, commendable efforts have also been made to encourage sports talent. The state government will continuously encourage such efforts.
CM Dhami said that the need for a polytechnic institute in Damta area will be assessed and an appropriate decision will be taken. Apart from this, he said that a separate provision of more than one and a half thousand crore rupees has been made in this year’s budget for the development of talent and skills of the youth, promotion of sports and cultural activities. Uttarakhand has got the opportunity to host the 38th National Games. This will give new heights to sports activities in the state.
Ghats being developed on the banks of Yamuna river
He said that the government has taken the initiative to develop ‘Shri Krishna Yamuna Tirtha Circuit’ by developing the religious areas of the Yamuna Valley region. Under which special aarti arrangements will be made by building various types of ghats on the banks of Yamuna river. Such efforts will create new livelihood opportunities and will strengthen the economy. Under the Chardham All Weather Road, the government is making special efforts to widen the roads in this area.
Tender process for widening of Yamunotri road completed, efforts to bring railway line in Yamuna valley
After talks with Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, the tender process for widening of Yamunotri Highway beyond Damta has been completed. He said that the Central Government will also be requested for construction of railway line in Yamuna valley area.
