Uttarakhand: State level rural entrepreneurship development workshop organized in Bhararisain, Dhami said – 1.5 lakh women will become Lakhpati Didi by 2025
Addressing the state-level rural entrepreneurship development workshop organized at Bhararisain (Gairsain), Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the government is working on the target of making one and a half lakh women Lakhpati Didi by 2025.
Addressing the workshop organized at Bhararisain on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that organizing this workshop in the summer capital is a historic occasion in itself. The government will seriously implement the suggestions received in the workshop and find solutions to all the problems faced by rural entrepreneurs. The Chief Minister said that the government has been working on the mantra of simplification, solution and redressal from the very first day, its positive results are now visible. During the last three years, many works have been done in the field of self-employment. There is always difficulty in the beginning of any work, but now women and youth have started doing remarkable work in the field of self-employment. Due to various schemes of the government, more than one lakh women have become lakhpatis in the state so far.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he has seen his mother working in his childhood, so he knows what difficulties mothers and sisters face. The Chief Minister said that today women are making great products through self-help groups or personal efforts, which are in demand all over the world. The government is providing them marketing facilities through Saras Mela, House of Himalayas brand. The Chief Minister said that whatever product you are preparing, take full care of quality, packaging and cleanliness, if these things are put into discipline then success is certain. He said that the government is trying to create more opportunities for business and self-reliance to stop migration from rural areas. Mothers and sisters have an important role in reducing migration.
The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government is making special efforts for the empowerment of women power. Women groups are being given a loan of Rs 5 lakh without interest, along with this, Sashakt Bahana Utsav Yojana, CM Mahila Swayam Sahayata Samuh Yojana are also being run. Under the Mahila Swayam Sahayata Samuh Yojana, assistance of more than Rs 84 crore has been provided, as well as a discount of Rs 25 crore on interest. So far, business worth Rs 4 crore 20 lakh has been done under the Mukhyamantri Sashakt Bahana Utsav Yojana. The Chief Minister said that the government is also opening outlets of the groups on the Yatra route, as well as products of women groups will be available in Delhi under the House of Himalayas. The government is working on the target of making one and a half lakh sisters Lakhpati Didi by 2025.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made five requests to every Uttarakhand resident, to make Uttarakhand an ideal state, we all have to work on the Prime Minister’s requests. On this occasion, rural entrepreneurs and women associated with self-help groups from different districts expressed their experiences regarding rural entrepreneurship and gave suggestions. Karnaprayag MLA Anil Nautiyal, Tharali MLA Bhopal Ram Tamta, BJP district president Ramesh Maikhuri, Vice-president of Migration Prevention Commission SS Negi, member Ramprakash Painuli along with Rural Development Commissioner Dhiraj Garbyal and other officials were also present in the program.
