Uttarakhand: Administration woke up after Dehradun accident, gave instructions to repair faulty CCTV within seven days
The district administration has come into action after the road accident in Dehradun late on Monday night. In compliance with the instructions of DM Savin Bansal, the Additional District Magistrate held a meeting regarding the condition of CCTV cameras installed in urban areas.
Instructions given to repair faulty CCTV cameras within seven days
In the meeting, the Additional District Magistrate directed the departmental officers to repair the CCTV cameras installed at various places in the city within seven days. Along with this, the Additional District Magistrate instructed to send the progress report of the repair of cameras daily.
There are currently a total of 536 cameras inside the Smart City
Giving information, the Additional Chief Executive Officer of Smart City said that at present there are a total of 536 cameras in the Smart City, out of which 402 are online and 134 are offline. Apart from this, the police have 299 cameras, out of which 161 are in the field and 138 cameras are installed in police stations. Out of these cameras, 9 cameras are faulty. Which will be repaired.
Report of improvement of cameras will be presented
It was also directed in the meeting that a report of improvement of cameras will be presented. Along with this, the officials of the concerned departments like BSNL, UPCL, PWD have been directed to establish coordination in this work. Apart from this, they have been asked to appear in the road safety related meeting to be held under the chairmanship of DM with the status of improvement.
