Uttarakhand: Urban Development Minister gave information about Smart City Dehradun

Today, the state’s Urban Development Minister Dr. Prem Chand Aggarwal held a meeting regarding Smart City Dehradun. The Urban Development Minister reviewed the Smart City project and various construction works related to it in the auditorium room located in the Vidhan Sabha. During this, he told that most of its work has been completed.

Minister gave information about Dehradun Smart City

Today the Urban Development Minister held a meeting regarding Smart City Dehradun. In which he told that the work of Smart City is almost complete, out of which 19 works including Crash Building, Modern Doon Library, Smart Water ATM, Parade Ground Renovation, Drain, Smart Road have been completed, while the work of Green Building is still in progress due to late start.

Smart City work will be completed soon

Premchand Aggarwal directed the officials to expedite the remaining work of Smart City. He told that the work of Green Building will be completed by October 2025. Urban Development Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that the work of Smart City has been completed within the time limit and all the work will be completed soon.

The minister has instructed the officers and employees of all the departments related to the smart city to establish mutual coordination and show promptness in the remaining works of the smart city. He said that smart city works have been done in 10 wards of the city. While 30 electric buses are being operated continuously even outside the 10 wards and the garbage vehicle provided by the smart city is also working in the entire municipal corporation area.

496 CCTV cameras are working in the city

The minister said that an amount of one thousand crore rupees was to be spent under Smart City Dehradun. Out of which 750 crore rupees have been spent on various development works. He also reviewed the CCTV cameras installed across the city, in which the officials informed that about 674 cameras have been installed across the city. Out of which about 496 cameras are working smoothly, while the remaining cameras are not working due to road cutting and other works at various places. On which the departmental minister took immediate action and directed the officials to make the remaining cameras functional.
