Uttarakhand: Preparations to start air services for five new cities, UCADA seeks applications from aviation companies
Preparations are on to start direct air services to five cities from Jolly Grant and Pantnagar airports of the state. For this, Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has started the tender process. Expansion of air services will promote tourism.
UKADA has sought applications from aviation companies to operate air services from Jolly Grant Airport to Bhopal, Patna, Pantnagar to Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai. Investors come to Uttarakhand for the purpose of tourism as well as industrial investment in the state.
But, till now there is no direct air service to Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bhopal. In view of this, the state government is now trying to connect new cities with air services. UCADA’s Additional Chief Executive Officer Dayanand Saraswati said, tender process is going on to start air services to five cities.
