A major accident was narrowly avoided on the Tanakpur Champawat National Highway on Friday morning. On Friday morning, a truck going from Pithoragarh to Tanakpur overturned on the road. Due to which a long queue of vehicles was formed on both sides of the road. At present, the NH has been closed for big vehicles.

A truck overturned on the Tanakpur Champawat National Highway on Friday morning. According to the information received, at around 7:30 am, a postal parcel truck going from Pithoragarh to Tanakpur went out of control and overturned. It is being told that the truck overturned on the road near Swala’s Apna Bhojanalaya.
Truck driver narrowly escaped the accident
Seeing the vehicle accident, the nearby villagers immediately came forward to help and somehow the villagers pulled the driver out of the truck. It was fortunate that the vehicle did not fall into the ditch, otherwise a major accident could have happened. The truck driver has suffered minor injuries. The driver’s life was saved due to the promptness of the villagers.
After the accident, the NH is closed for big vehicles. Due to the truck overturning in the middle of the road, the movement of big vehicles has stopped. Even small vehicles are finding it difficult to pass through the road. At the same time, the administration is trying to remove the truck from the road.
