The advertising companies that had boycotted X have now returned

It is said that times do not take long to change. When times are bad, even our own people leave us. And when good times come, even distant people become our own. Something similar is happening at this time with the world’s richest man and CEO of social media platform X, Elon Musk. The advertising companies that once boycotted X are now returning to X.

Donald Trump has won the presidential election in America. Elon Musk’s efforts in this victory cannot be denied. He helped Trump in the election in all three ways – body, mind and money. Later Musk has also got a reward for this. He was made the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) by Trump. According to the Economic Times, the advertisers who have once turned away from X are now ready to advertise again.

Bought Twitter for $ 44 billion

Musk bought X in October 2022 for $ 44 billion. At that time it was called Twitter. After buying it, Musk became the CEO of this company and took many big decisions. He fired more than half of his employees. Unblocked the accounts of many people including Trump. Launched Blue subscription service. Also changed its name from Twitter to X.

Subscribers started decreasing

Many companies were angry with many decisions of Elon Musk. Many companies stopped advertising citing brand safety and boycotted this platform. Subscribers started decreasing from this platform. In such a situation, Musk started worrying whether he would be able to get any benefit from the amount he had bought it for.

Trump and Musk campaigned a lot through X in the US elections. There were many such posts which were related to the US elections. In such a situation, Musk hoped that if Trump wins the election, X could be a profitable deal for him. And now this is happening.

These big brands returned

Elon Musk said on Friday that he appreciates major brands resuming advertising on X. Especially those brands that had left it initially. Social media user Mario Nawfal, citing a CNBC report, reported that companies such as IBM, Disney, Comcast and Discovery have resumed advertising on X after a year-long boycott.

What is written in the post?

Nawfal wrote in the post, ‘IBM, Disney, Comcast, Discovery, Warner Bros and Lionsgate Entertainment have reportedly resumed advertising after nearly a year of boycott.’

Musk responded to Nawfal’s post, saying, ‘Just want to say we greatly appreciate major brands resuming advertising on our platform!’ He also expressed gratitude to X CEO Linda Yaccarino and other team members for their efforts to restore advertisers’ trust.
