PM Modi received Nigeria’s highest honor, till now only Queen Elizabeth had this award
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded Nigeria’s highest honour, The Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, in Abuja. This is the 17th international award he has received from another country. Earlier, only Queen Elizabeth has received this honour. In such a situation, PM Modi is the second foreign leader to receive this honour.
Minister Wike gave a warm welcome
PM Modi arrived in Nigeria on Sunday in the first leg of his three-nation visit. On his arrival, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike gave a warm welcome to PM Modi in Abuja, the capital of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Wike presented the key of Abuja city to PM Modi. This key is a symbol of the trust and respect given to PM Modi by the people of Nigeria.
PM is on tour from 17 November to 21 November
PM Modi is going to hold bilateral discussions in Nigeria to strengthen relations between the two countries. PM Modi is on a tour of three countries Nigeria, Brazil and Guyana from 17 November to 21 November.
