Work has started with Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of the ropeway. Let us tell you that for this ropeway, Bhoomi Pujan was done at the proposed lower terminal in Kharsali by Yamunotri Sky Car Private Limited. After which the work has been started.

The total length of the ropeway project will be 3.9 km

Let us tell you that the total length of this ropeway being built to reach Yamunotri Dham will be 3.9 km. It can carry 580 people in an hour. It is being built at a cost of about 170 crores. The Yamunotri ropeway project will be from Kharsali to Yamunotri Dham, between which a total of 10 towers will be built. The lowest terminal of the project will be built in Kharsali. While the upper terminal will be built near the police post in Yamunotri Dham.

Will be operated at a speed of six meters per second

This ropeway being built to Yamunotri Dham has been designed to operate at a speed of six meters per second. It will take only 15 minutes to reach the upper terminal of Yamunotri Dham from the lowest terminal located at Kharsali. Along with this, parking is also being constructed in Kharsali.
