In such a situation, now he has been given the responsibility of the post of District Excise Officer till new orders are issued.

DM did many inspections

The special thing is that in Dehradun district, complaints were being received about the negligence of the Excise Department on illegal liquor sale and that is why Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal was also angry with the District Excise Officer. The special thing is that in the district, the District Magistrate himself had to take charge of the illegal activities and the District Magistrate was also constantly taking action by conducting surprise inspections in all the liquor shops, pubs and bars.

The matter had reached the CM office

It is being told that even after many complaints, the officers of the Excise Department at the district level were not doing routine checking and in such a situation, open activities of over-rating were being conducted at the liquor shops. Which were caught by the District Magistrate himself during inspection at many places. The image of the government was also getting tarnished due to illegal activities in the liquor shop and this matter had also reached the Chief Minister’s office.
