America gives Ukraine permission to use killer missile, Russian S-400 will be put to the test, India, China and Turkey are keeping an eye on it

US President Joe Biden has approved the use of missiles by Ukraine. This is a turning point in the long-running conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The US has supplied the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to Ukraine, which can attack the Russian army in the Kursk region of western Russia. The accurate attacks of ATACMS can prove to be a big challenge for Russian security. In such a situation, Russia will have to rethink its defense plan. Russia’s air security has been dependent on its air S-400 and S-500 air defense. If missiles are fired from Ukraine in the coming time, then not only Russia but India will also keep an eye on the performance of these air systems.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had been demanding for a long time that Kiev should be allowed to use the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to hit targets inside Russia. ATACMS can go up to 300 km (186 miles). This decision of America can prove to be a big help for Kiev as Russian forces have been gaining ground in recent months. The use of American long-range missiles can benefit Kiev and it can be in a better position in the ceasefire agreement. US media has said that Biden has taken this decision in response to the alleged deployment of thousands of troops by North Korea to help Russia in the war.
Why are India, China, Turkey keeping an eye?
Countries like India, Turkey and China are also keeping an eye on how successful Russia’s air defense is against American missiles coming from Ukraine. The reason for this is that these countries have signed agreements to buy Russian defense systems. Because of this investment, these countries are keeping a close watch on the entire development.
If there is an attack from Ukraine, the real test of the effectiveness of the S-400 will come before the world. If this system performs well, then confidence in its reliability will increase in the world. On the other hand, the failure of this system will reduce trust in it and Russia’s arms export market will weaken.
Russia can give an aggressive response
After the US gave missile approval to Ukraine, it is not yet decided how Russia will react to this. Russian President Vladimir Putin has already warned Western countries against such a move. Militarily very powerful Russia can take a tougher stand after this decision. Vladimir Putin warned Western countries against such a move and said that it would be considered a direct involvement of the NATO military alliance in the Ukraine war.
