Delhi: Kailash Gehlot joined BJP, said- I did not take the decision under anyone’s pressure, I had left AAP a day before
MLA from Najafgarh Kailash Gehlot joined BJP on Monday. Kailash Gehlot was given membership by Union Minister Manohar Lal at the BJP headquarters. Many senior leaders of Delhi BJP were present there during this time.
During this, Kailash Gehlot said that I have not done any work under anyone’s pressure till date. All the things that I am hearing that I did this under pressure from CBI or under some other pressure are wrong. This decision is not of one day. Thousands of people joined an ideology after Anna’s movement, my purpose of joining politics is to serve the people. But I was stunned to see the decline of the values for which I joined Aam Aadmi Party.
He said that this is not just my opinion, thousands of Aam Aadmi Party workers are thinking like this. Aam Aadmi has now become some special people. If a government constantly spends time fighting with the central government, then how will Delhi develop? Whatever time I spent as a minister, I tried my best to do better.
Today I joined the Bharatiya Janata Party so that I can work shoulder to shoulder with them to develop Delhi. I left my practice and started working and will continue to do so. He said that it was not easy to leave AAP. The situation in AAP is not good now. Your confidence has been broken. I am influenced by the policies of PM Modi.
Kailash Gehlot had resigned from the primary membership of AAP and the post of minister on Sunday itself. Kailash Gehlot was sworn in as the Transport Minister in the Delhi Government for the first time on 19 February 2015. After that he was made a minister for three consecutive terms. Before resigning, Kailash Gehlot wrote a letter to Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and made serious allegations against the party.
In the letter written to Kejriwal, Gehlot said that at present Aam Aadmi Party is going through serious challenges. Political ambitions in the party have dominated our commitment towards the people, due to which many promises have remained unfulfilled.
Which the party had made to the people of Delhi. The dream of cleaning the Yamuna could not be fulfilled. Yamuna has now become more polluted than before. Apart from this, many strange controversies like Sheeshmahal (Chief Minister’s residence) came to the fore. This tarnished the image of the party. Questions are being raised whether people are trusting the party. Instead of fighting for the rights of the people, the party is fighting only for its political agenda.
This weakened our ability to provide basic services to the people of Delhi. The Delhi government spends most of its time fighting with the Centre due to which the real development of Delhi could not take place. He said that I started my political journey to serve the people of Delhi, I want to continue it. This is the reason why I am separating from AAP and resigning from the primary membership of the party. Apart from this, he also wrote a letter to the Chief Minister and resigned from his post.
Chief Minister accepted the resignation
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi accepted the resignation of Najafgarh MLA Kailash Gehlot from the post of minister. He was the Transport Minister in the Delhi Government. At the same time, sources of Aam Aadmi Party say that many ED and Income Tax cases were going on against Kailash Gehlot. He has been raided by ED and Income Tax several times. In such a situation, to avoid this raid, he had no other option but to join BJP. This is a dirty conspiracy of BJP. BJP wants to win the Delhi elections on the strength of ED and CBI.
Kailash Gehlot’s departments given to Chief Minister
After Kailash Gehlot’s resignation, all his departments have been handed over to the Chief Minister. According to information received from government sources, all the departments of Kailash Gehlot will remain with Chief Minister Atishi. In this matter, Chief Minister Atishi has sent a proposal to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.
BJP leaders will join AAP today
On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party claims that many big leaders of BJP will join AAP on Monday. Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will hold a press conference on Monday. Arvind Kejriwal will make the announcement at 2 pm.
