Uttarakhand: Ganesh Godiyal demanded resignation of Health Minister Dhan Singh, staged a sit-in protest at Base Hospital over closure of dialysis facility
Dialysis facility is closed in Base Hospital Srikot affiliated to Government Medical College Srinagar. Due to this, patients coming here are facing a lot of problems. There is anger among the public regarding this, while Congress has also attacked the government on the issue. In this episode, Congressmen under the leadership of Congress leader Ganesh Godiyal staged a sit-in at the main gate of Base Hospital. During this, he was seen attacking Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat. He even demanded from the Chief Minister to remove the Health Minister from the post.
Congress leader Ganesh Godiyal alleged that for the last three months, the dialysis unit in the medical college of Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat’s own assembly constituency is closed. Due to this, people are facing a lot of problems, but no action is being taken in the matter. He said that when the workers of his own party raise the demand to start a dialysis unit, then false cases are registered against them. Whereas, action should have been taken against the Principal of the Medical College in the matter. He should have been removed from the post, whereas, here the opposite is happening.
Ganesh Godiyal also accused of commission-grabbing
Ganesh Godiyal said that cases are being registered against people who are demanding better health facilities by protesting. He alleged that commission-grabbing is being done in the name of installing machines in Srinagar Medical College, this should also be investigated. Godiyal said that BJP often gets ED and CBI investigations done against Congress people. If even a small investigation of the Health Minister is done, many revelations will be made.
BJP called Congress’s protest baseless
At the same time, BJP has retaliated on the protest of Congress leader Ganesh Godiyal. BJP Mandal President Jitendra Dhirwan has called the Congress protest baseless. He said that in the Congress government, there was not even an X-ray machine in the base hospital, people had to go to private nursing homes even for X-ray, but now high-end machines like MRI, CT scan have been installed here, which the Congress is not able to digest.
Jitendra Dhirwan further said that Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has ordered two new dialysis machines. Along with this, the entire dialysis unit has been replaced. New machines are being installed in their place. The public will not be allowed to face any problem under any circumstances. Let us tell you that Base Hospital Srikot (Srinagar) is one of the biggest hospitals in the Garhwal region, where people from Pauri Garhwal, Chamoli, Rudraprayag as well as Tehri come for treatment.
