Uttarakhand: Secretary level IAS officers are not attending important meetings of the Chief Secretary, angry CS warned of strict action

Secretary level IAS officers in Uttarakhand government are avoiding attending meetings chaired by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi. The surprising thing is that despite the instructions issued from the Chief Secretary’s office, secretary level officers are sending their subordinate officers to the review meetings. This information has been shared by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi.

Along with this, now Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also given an ultimatum to the senior IAS officers of the secretary level and warned of strict action if such a mistake is made again.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi is also having to take a tough stand in reining in the Uttarakhand bureaucracy. The surprising thing is that despite being the head of the bureaucracy, the bureaucrats are not taking the meetings of the Chief Secretary seriously. In view of this situation, now the Chief Secretary has issued a strict warning to the secretaries in the government and has also issued instructions for strict action against them if they remain absent in the review meetings.

Let us tell you that, along with various meetings related to Sashakt Uttarakhand @ 25 held on Monday 18 November, secretary level officers did not attend the review meetings. This is the situation when Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has been asking the officers to complete the works as per the target and for this, instructions have been issued to monitor the status of development works during all the review meetings. During this, instructions have also been given to complete the goals of Sashakt Uttarakhand @ 25 with priority.

The shocking thing is that secretary level officers are not reaching the important meetings chaired by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi. Even after getting information about such meetings, the secretary sends subordinate additional secretary level officers.

In view of such a situation, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has expressed her deep displeasure over the secretary level officers. Along with this, instructions have been issued for mandatory attendance of secretaries in the meetings. Instructions have also been given to take strict action against the secretaries who do not do so.

Expressing displeasure, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that the absence of secretaries in important meetings and sending additional secretaries or other subordinate officers in their place shows irresponsible attitude.
