In a dramatic incident, BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde was caught with cash at a hotel in Virar (East) on Wednesday morning, more than 17 hours after the Maharashtra Assembly election campaign ended.
Claims to have seen distributing money
Supporters of the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) party stormed the hotel and threw cash on Tawde’s face. According to BVA members, they received information about Vinod Tawde holding a meeting at Vivant Hotel in Manvelpada. Naik and local BJP leaders were present here. The activists alleged that they saw Tawde distributing money to the attendees.
What is in Vinod Tawde’s diary?
Kshitij Thakur claimed that two diaries containing names and Rs 5 crore were found with Tawde. BVA alleged that when Vinod Tawde was holding a meeting inside the hotel, the main gate of the hotel was closed. BVA has raised concerns about webcasting at all 507 polling stations in Nalasopara constituency. This area includes one of the two important polling stations in Palghar district.

BVA leaders claim that Vinod Tawde distributed money in the hotel and dozens of people were present there. BVA candidate Kshitij Thakur said that the Election Commission should take action against Vinod Tawde as per the rules. Vinod Tawde should also be ashamed.
