Uttarakhand: The demolished mazaar in Dehradun school was rebuilt, case filed against the contractor
A case of re-construction of the demolished Mazar in the campus area of a reputed private school located on Chakrata Road under Cantt police station area has come to light. Protests have also started regarding the matter. In such a situation, seeing the seriousness of the matter, a case has been registered against the unknown contractor on the basis of the complaint of Bindal outpost in-charge. The unknown contractor is being searched by the police.
People’s anger erupted over the Mazar
Let us tell you that earlier recently photos and videos regarding the Mazar had gone viral. Due to which Hindu organizations had come out in protest. After that the administration took action and demolished the Mazar, but now the case of construction of the Mazar has come to light again. After which the police have registered a case against the unknown contractor and started investigation.
Let us tell you that Bindal outpost in-charge Rajneesh Saini had lodged a complaint with the police. He had told that Chakrata Road had come under the purview of widening. Due to which the 60-70 year old Mazar was demolished in the premises of the reputed private school. After this, the unknown contractor started rebuilding the tomb, but when this matter went viral on social media, people of Hindu organizations came in protest.
In such a situation, anger was seen among the regional people regarding the tomb. After which, keeping in view the communal harmony and peace, the administration team went to the spot a few days ago and demolished the tomb. After that, in the administrative investigation, it was found that this construction is a violation of the policy 2016 regarding removal of unauthorized religious structure on public road, public park and other public places. The report of which was also given to the police.
On the basis of the complaint of Bindal outpost in-charge, a case has been registered against the unknown contractor in Cantt police station under section three Public Property Damage Prevention Act. Also, this illegal construction is an attempt to spoil the communal harmony.
