Uttarakhand: SDM strict on over rating, gave instructions to display rate list in liquor and vegetable shops

Social activist of Lohaghat area Raju Bhaiya had given a memorandum to SDM Lohaghat Rinku Bisht demanding to put up rate list to stop over-rating in liquor and vegetable shops of Lohaghat city. Taking cognizance of this matter, SDM has adopted a strict stand. He has given instructions to put up rate list in liquor and vegetable shops.

SDM’s strict stand on over-rating
On receiving the complaint of over-rating, SDM Lohaghat held a meeting with the trade union and vegetable traders. SDM Lohaghat Rinku Bisht expressed deep displeasure over the complaint of over-rating in vegetables and liquor and took suggestions by holding a meeting with the trade union and vegetable traders. SDM Rinku Bisht said that EO Nagar Panchayat and Supply Officer have been instructed to find out the rates from vegetable markets and paste the rate list in the vegetable shops of the city.

Over-rating will not be tolerated
SDM said that the Excise Officer has been directed to put up rate list and QR code in liquor shops also. Over-rating will not be tolerated at all. Strict action will be taken for disobeying the order. Supply Officer Chandrakala Chaturvedi and EO Saurabh Negi said that immediate action will be taken on the instructions of SDM Lohaghat.

Rate list will be pasted in vegetable shops. The people of the city appreciated this order of SDM and thanked him. The trade union officer also assured full cooperation to the administration.
