Robotic dogs will be deployed with the army on the country’s border, will be operated from 10 km away
Robotic multi-utility legged equipment i.e. robotic dogs will now be deployed with the soldiers on the borders of the country. These robotic dogs are capable of working from any high mountain to the depth of water. They can be operated even sitting ten kilometers away. After charging for one hour, they can work continuously for ten hours. Robotic dogs have practiced with the Battle Axe Division of the Indian Army at Pokhran Firing Range in Jaisalmer.
100 robotic dogs included in the army
The army has practiced finding and eliminating the enemy with this dog. Apart from this, logistics drones are being tested to improve assistance and transportation in high altitude areas. Recently, the Indian Army has included 100 robotic dogs for use in areas along the border (especially in high altitude areas). According to military sources, the army exercise ended on Thursday.
Robotic dog will carry weapons
More than fifty soldiers of a unit of the Battle Axe Division of the Indian Army participated in it. About ten robotic dogs were included in it. During this, the robotic dog gave trials of finding the enemy, carrying weapons, telling the location of the enemy through the camera, and helping the soldiers in adverse conditions.
Equipped with thermal cameras and radar
Robotic dogs are equipped with thermal cameras and radar. Its biggest feature is its design. It enables it to cross every obstacle in snow, desert, rough ground, high stairs and even mountainous areas. The robotic dog is also capable of firing at enemy positions while protecting the soldiers from any harm.
It can be used on Wi-Fi or Long Term Evolution i.e. LTE. For short distances, Wi-Fi can be used, while 4G/LTE can be used for distances up to ten km. It has a camera which can rotate up to 360 degrees.
