Uttarakhand: Good news for players…Housing and food allowances increased, revised government order issued

The players participating in the training camp of the 38th National Games will get an allowance of Rs 850 per day instead of Rs 150 for accommodation. Similarly, the allowance for the whole day’s food has been increased from Rs 250 to Rs 480. Apart from this, the honorarium of the trainer, high performance director, head trainer, assistant trainer, strength and conditioning expert has also been revised.
Sports Minister Rekha Arya said, training camps are being organized for the players, but there was a shortage of allowances related to players, trainers and other arrangements. In view of this, the government has revised the expenditure of players, coach and assistant trainer, equipment in the sports ground, travel allowance of players etc.
It was told that the revised government order also provides for the expenditure of deploying supporting staff. An allowance of Rs 60 thousand per month will be given to the physio, Rs 60 thousand per month for the psychiatrist. Apart from this, nutritionists will be appointed, for them too the honorarium will be Rs 60 thousand per month. Masseurs will also be appointed at Rs 40,000 per month.
Allowances for players before and now
- Under residential arrangement, the amount has been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 800 per player and trainer.
- Food allowance was Rs 250 earlier. Which has been increased to Rs 480.
- For sports kit, track suit, sports kit, shoes, socks and camp, Rs 5,000 has been kept as before.
- Sports material for equipment has been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 3 lakh.
- Miscellaneous expenses like (writing material, refreshment ground marking material, maintenance of ground) have been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000.
- Travel allowance has been increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000.
- Honorarium of head coach has been increased from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh per month.
- Honorarium of assistant coach has been increased from Rs 40,000 to Rs 80,000.
Changes have been made in allowances so that the players of the state can perform well in national games and they do not face any financial challenges. From trainers to support staff, everything will be available for the players.
