Uttarakhand: Women will get reservation in cheap grain shop vendor license! Proposal will be brought in the cabinet

Food Minister Rekha Arya held a meeting with dealers and officials on Thursday regarding the problems of ration dealers of Uttarakhand. In the meeting held at the National Sports Secretariat of the International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun, the minister heard the problems of the Ration Dealers Association. Also, instructed the officials to resolve the problems of ration dealers as soon as possible. Minister Arya said that women of the state will be given 33 percent reservation in Sasta Galla Shop vendor license. A conference of women Sasta Galla shop vendors will be organized.

After the meeting, Minister Rekha Arya said that the ration sellers have been given dividend till the month of June. In such a situation, the central government has been informed for the remaining dividend and rent payment amount. Efforts are also being made at the state government level to ensure that ration sellers get dividend soon. Instructions have been given to the officials for the remaining payment for the ration available in Anganwadi centers. Along with this, instructions have been given to resolve the problems being faced in payment by holding a virtual meeting with the concerned DPO and DSO of the districts.

Minister Rekha Arya said that vendors who distribute 100 percent ration will not be forced to open the shop. Also, orders will be issued to avoid unnecessary pressure on vendors who distribute ration to 100 percent beneficiaries on a conditional basis.

Biometric system

On 100 percent online distribution of ration, Minister Arya said that the biometric system is being continuously made hi-tech so that this system is effective even in remote districts. So that the state can be counted among the states that distribute 100 percent ration online. For this, the officials have been instructed to make arrangements by December 15.

33 percent reservation to women in allotment of shops

Minister Rekha Arya said that to empower and enrich women, 33 percent reservation will be given to women in the allotment of new and vacant Sasta Ghalla shops in the state. For this, instructions have been given to the department to make a proposal. Therefore, after its proposal is ready, the proposal will be passed in the cabinet soon and implemented. Also said that a conference will be organized soon. In which the achievements of women cheap grain ration sellers, their challenges and problems will be discussed.
