BSP supremo Mayawati has announced that her party will no longer participate in any by-elections. She has raised serious questions on the results and voting process of the recent assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh. Mayawati alleged irregularities in the election process and said that the results are being influenced through fake voting. She made it clear that until the Election Commission takes strict steps to stop fake voting, BSP will not contest any by-election.
