Uttar Pradesh: FIR filed against former BJP MLC and several associates for holding a Shahjahanpur man hostage and beating him with sticks
A case has been registered against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former member of Legislative Council and his associates in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh for allegedly beating a person with sticks after holding him hostage. A police officer gave this information on Saturday (23 November).
Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar told the media that Vishal, who lives in Daniyapur village of Ramchandra Mission police station area, had gone to work in the city on Friday when former Legislative Councilor Sanjay Mishra, Deepak and Diwan came there and took him in a car to a field. Where he was badly beaten with a PVC pipe. After this, they took Vishal to his inter college, where he was again beaten with pipes and sticks. He told that when Vishal’s mother reached to save him, the accused also misbehaved with her.
Police registered a case
The police has registered a case against three people including Sanjay Mishra and two unknown people under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and has started investigating the case. Former MLC Mishra said that on November 18, some people had beaten up his brother and when he reached the police station to register a case, the police registered an FIR under minor sections, in response to which a false case has been registered against us.
Police officials also said that after the investigation, appropriate action will be taken against whoever is found guilty. The police also said that action will be taken against those who commit such acts.
