Uttar Pradesh: Frustrated by police harassment and wife’s indifference, the young man consumed poison in the police station; the police department was trying to suppress the case
A big case of police negligence has come to light in Shahjahanpur, UP. A young man locked inside the police station in police custody tried to commit suicide by consuming poison. When the condition of the young man deteriorated, the police hurriedly admitted him to Medical College Shahjahanpur where he is being treated. At present, there is a stir in the police department after the incident, while the police is continuously trying to suppress the matter. Actually, the case is of Ramchandra Mission police station where the victim Ram Bhajan, who lives in Bijli Pura area, told that he has a dispute with his wife Jyoti. Regarding which the police brought him to the police station from his relative’s house, where after a few hours of being locked up, he emptied a packet of poison in front of the police. After this, his condition deteriorated and when he vomited, the police hurriedly admitted him to Medical College Shahjahanpur where he is undergoing treatment.
The victim told that the police was constantly harassing him, even before this he had been sent to fake jail on a gun charge, he knew that the police would misbehave with him, so he had already kept a packet of poison in his stomach pocket, which he emptied at the police station. The wife told in the conversation that we have been having a dispute for the last 4 years due to which the police caught him and took him to the police station where he consumed poison. At present the police is trying to suppress the whole case. The police also told that the accused Ram Bhajan was caught and brought to the police station on the complaint of his sister where he started vomiting after coming there. When his condition worsened, he was admitted to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
